This chapter, I feel it was finally all coming back together. Two of our three groups were reuniting and I still have the strong impression that they'll find each other in Caemlyn.
It's actually quite a short chapter and one of the main impressions that I got from it was that Moraine wasn't as stone faced as Nynaeve liked/wanted to believe, rather she was the cool head to Nynaeve's hot head. "I would not risk you, any more than any of the others..." Moraine's words to Nynaeve, then "Nynaeve rubbed her arm surreptitiously when Moraine released it. She was not about to let the Aes Sedai know the grip had hurt." To me, those lines speak of hidden depth of feeling Moraine had, she's just learned to control it.
I also liked the wolves of course - they wanted Lan to see them, they wanted the "good guys" to know they were there as well to help. I love that the common people are superstitious about the wolves. It almost feels like the only "acceptable" magic is Aes Sedai, and even that's only arguably acceptable, but anything that is done outside of the Power is to be viewed with suspicion, even (or especially) by the Aes Sedai. As the series goes on, other "different" magics also appear which come from someone other than the Power and are also viewed skeptically. Jordan mirrors real life here so expertly.
Rescue is next and at 37 chapters in, it feels like the story is finally getting started.
